A
lump or thickening in the breast or under the arm is the most common sign
of breast cancer, but most lumps are fluid-filled cysts and not cancers.
Still, see your doctor as soon as you find any lump or notice any of the
following changes in your breast:
- A clear or bloody discharge from the nipple
- Inverted nipples
- Redness or swelling
- Dimpling on the breast skin resembling the
texture of an orange
- A change in the contours of the breast, such as
one being higher than the other
