ConjunctivaInformation:Definition: The thin mucus membrane that is on the underside of the eyelid and is reflected onto the surface of the eye. When an individual has conjunctivitis , the reflection of the inflamed conjunctiva makes the white of the eye ( sclera ) appear red.
